Pray 4 Breakthrough was founded by Nykia Coleman. Her flame for prayer was ignited when she was nine years old. That was the first time she had a personal encounter with God. Nykia's mother was diagnosed with a genetic incurable blood disorder. Witnessing the struggles of her mother's illness, Nykia turned to her teachings of faith in God, and the power of prayer.
Nykia began praying for her mother every day. Over a period of four decades, Nykia witnessed countless miracles in the life of her mother's health. Oftentimes, her mother left the hospital, despite the doctor's diagnosis. Her mother continued to live well even after the doctors predicted that recovery was not possible. Nykia is eternally grateful to God for the additional 40 years she had with her mother.
